Cultivating Economic Empowerment for Our Lāhui.
Kūkolu is a culturally grounded home for Native Hawaiian and Indigenous women entrepreneurs, creatives, and communities ready to thrive.
More than a program. Kūkolu is a movement.
Kūkolu was born in 2020, when COVID-19 exposed a gap that had always existed. Native Hawaiian and Indigenous women entrepreneurs had no true incubator, no culturally grounded home base, no community of trusted support designed specifically for them.
So, we built one.
Four Pillars.
One ecosystem.
Indigenous Women’s Incubator
A true incubator for Native Hawaiian and Indigenous women — from idea to operating business, delivered in community, on every island. We go to you.
Backbone
Services
Infrastructure and operational support for other Native Hawaiian nonprofits and businesses. This is Kūkolu contracting its expertise outward to strengthen the wider ecosystem.
Indigenous
Creatives
Support for Native Hawaiian artists and creatives who want to be both artists and business owners, including scholarship administration, contract review, and community engagement.
Lalawai Business Funding
Currently funded through private grants and donors. Some earned revenue via contract backbone services. Long-term goal: a more self-sustaining model, potentially including a for-profit entity, to reduce reliance on philanthropic funding.
Our passion resolute, our commitment steadfast, and our presence unwavering, Kūkolu is excited and committed to share space with others who desire to collectively move the needle toward abundance within our communities.
Our Foundation
We're not here to follow trends—we're here to build something timeless. With a blend of creativity, strategy, and heart, we help ideas come to life.
Kūpaʻa
STAND FIRM & STEADFAST
Rooted in the knowledge, ingenuity, and resilience of our kūpuna. Unwavering in our commitment to uplift our community, even in the face of challenge.
Kūpū
STAND TOGETHER IN UNITY
Kupukupu grows as a cluster, not one frond. The stronger each individual, the stronger the whole lāhui. This is our lens, our responsibility, our gift.
Kūpono
BE FORTHRIGHT & UPSTANDING
A strong and sustainable community is built on honesty, integrity, and commitment to kuleana — in every space we occupy and every relationship we build.
